Which routes go to the airport (EGE)?

Use the Valley Route (East or West) to access Eagle County Regional Airport. Fares apply for airport stops.

Do all routes require a fare?

Nope. Only rides to or from EGE, Gypsum, and Leadville require a fare. Most other routes are fare-free.

Why are fares required in Gypsum and Leadville?

Core Transit offers fare-free service across most of the system, thanks to funding from member communities. Gypsum and Leadville are not currently members of the Eagle Valley Transportation Authority, so fares are required for all stops in these areas.

How do I pay for a fare?

Use the Core Transit app to buy mobile tickets quickly and securely from your phone or visit our offices for in-person purchases. Learn all about fares HERE

Are paper tickets available?

Yes. While the app is easiest, traditional fare options are available for those who prefer them. These are only available for purchase in our offices.

Can I bring my bike on the bus?

Yes, bikes are allowed on the exterior rack from dawn to dusk. You must be able to load and unload your own bike.

What’s the policy on skis or snowboards?

Skis and boards are welcome. Keep all gear under your control and out of aisles and seats

Can I bring luggage on the bus?

Yes, as long as your luggage is with you and doesn’t block aisles or take up seats.

Can I bring a baby stroller on the bus?

Yes. Children must be removed from the stroller, and the stroller must be collapsible and fit in the seat with you.

What should I do when I want to get off the bus?

Pull the cord or push the stop request button before your stop so the operator can safely stop.

Should I exit through the front or back?

Use the rear doors when possible. It speeds up boarding and keeps everyone moving.

What if I’m not sure how to ride?

Ask your operator—they’re trained, friendly, and happy to help you ride like a pro.

What if I lost something on the bus?

Call (970) 328-3520 or fill out the Lost & Found form at CoreTransit.org with details about your item.

Can I ride Core Transit in the winter?

Yes, but leave early—road conditions may cause delays. Check the Alerts page for real-time updates.

Are delays common in bad weather?

They can be. Snow, ice, or road closures may affect schedules. Plan ahead and check online before traveling.

Are Park-n-Ride lots available?

Yes! Free Park-n-Ride locations are in Gypsum, Eagle, Edwards, Minturn, and Leadville.

How do I plan my trip?

Which route should I take to Beaver Creek?

Do all buses go to Vail?

Can children ride the bus alone?

Children under 8 years of age must ride with adult supervision.

What if there’s no stop near me?

Try a Park-n-Ride, or use the Core Transit app to see the closest stop and route options. Last-mile solutions are being explored for future improvements.
